A Message from Barb
As we close out another meaningful year at Community Living Alternatives, I’ve been reflecting on the incredible strength of our community — the people we support, their families, our dedicated Host Home Providers, staff, board members, and the donors and partners who lift our work every day.
This season also marks a personal milestone: 36 years at CLA. When I began, our mission was simple and powerful — to ensure people with intellectual and developmental disabilities could live full, self-directed lives in the homes and communities they choose. Today, that mission continues to shine through every smile, every achievement, and every relationship built on trust and belonging.
I’m pleased to share a brief snapshot of this year’s impact and the feedback we heard from the people we serve, their families, and our providers. Full reports are linked below.

FY2025 Satisfaction Surveys — What We Heard
CLA surveyed the people we support, their guardians, and Host Home Providers to better understand what’s working well and where we can continue growing.
The results were clear: relationships, safety, and communication remain at the heart of CLA’s mission.
Across all surveys, respondents shared both strengths and thoughtful opportunities for growth:
Key Takeaways:
- Host Home Participants: Shared overwhelmingly positive feelings about their homes and relationships — using words like happy, good, comfortable, and wonderful — and expressed interest in additional outings and activities.
- CLASS Day Program Participants: Reported strong experiences with friendships, activities, and skill-building, with some wanting to attend more often.
- Guardians: Praised staff responsiveness, proactive communication, and support through transitions, with suggestions for expanding activities and continuous communication improvements.
- Host Home Providers: Highlighted strong Program Manager support, communication, and feeling valued, while recommending clearer staff availability updates and strengthened nursing follow-up.
These insights guide our improvements for 2026 — ensuring consistency, communication, and meaningful engagement remain at the heart of how we support people and families at CLA.

A Heartfelt Thanks to Our Colorado Gives Day Donors
Thanks to your generosity, CLA raised $9,265 and unlocked the full $5,000 T&L Watkins Match — for a total impact of $14,265 supporting community inclusion, independence, and everyday joy. You help keep CLA strong — thank you.
Looking Ahead to 2025
