A Simple Way to Support the CLASS Day Program

Every day at Community Living Alternatives’ CLASS Day Program, individuals are building skills, forming friendships, and growing in confidence.

Some are learning how to cook a simple meal. Others are practicing communication, exploring creative activities, or participating in movement and wellness exercises. These may seem like small moments—but they are the building blocks of independence, belonging, and a meaningful life.

And the right tools make all the difference.

What is CLASS?
CLA’s CLASS Day Program supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through structured, person-centered activities designed around each individual.

Participants spend their days:
  • Building real-life skills
  • Connecting with others
  • Exploring interests and hobbies
  • Engaging in their community

At its core, CLASS is about helping each person grow in ways that matter to them.

Why a Wish List?
We created a CLASS Wish List to make it easy for our community to directly support the daily experiences of the individuals we serve.

The items on this list are not extras—they are tools that help make learning, engagement, and connection possible.

They support:

  • Creative Expression:  Art supplies and hands-on materials that allow individuals to express themselves, reduce anxiety, and explore their creativity.
  • Movement & Wellness:  Items that encourage physical activity, coordination, and confidence—supporting both physical and emotional well-being.
  • Life Skills Development:  Tools that help individuals practice everyday skills like cooking, following directions, and building independence.
  • Learning & Engagement:  Games and activities that promote focus, communication, and social interaction.

How You Can Help
If you’ve ever wondered how to make a direct, meaningful impact—this is one of the simplest ways.

You can view our CLASS Wish List and send an item directly to CLA:

Every item purchased goes straight into the program—supporting real experiences, real growth, and real moments of connection.

See the Impact in Action
The items on this list become part of someone’s day:
  • A new activity that builds confidence
  • A shared moment that sparks a friendship
  • A skill practiced that leads to greater independence
  • Everyday essentials (like wipes and supplies) that help offset program costs—so more funding can go directly toward enriching activities and participant experiences

These are the moments that matter—and they happen every day at CLASS.
